4/17/2008  I can't believe I'm back in River CIty First some back story. I used to be a huge fan of River City Brewery in Wichita, Kansas. Ate there 2-3 times a month with my family. Then one day we had a bad meal. I wrote it off to being an bad night. Next trip, the food was beyond horrible, the service was non-existent. Hour later we walked out after getting nothing but an appetizer. Let me make sure I frame this correctly. We didn't "dine and dash". No drinks ever hit the table. The appetizer needed plates and forks, we got neither. So we walked out. I swore I would never set foot in there again. That was 1998. Fast forward to 2008. New girl, new life, new attitude. I go out with her to a birthday dinner for one of her friends. Where do they pick? River City. I guess I could have burst in and yelled, "So my arch-nemesis! We meet again!" The company was good. The beer was good, so I was told. The wings were straight out of the buffalo wing play book. 50% Franks Hot Sauce, 50% butter or oil. Come on guys, could have at least beer battered the chicken.
